Applicants must: · Be a certified PATH Intl. Therapeutic Riding Instructor · Be at least 18 years of age · Have a working knowledge of natural horsemanship and balanced riding techniques or be willing to learn · Demonstrate skill in instruction, riding, stable and horse management as well as have an understanding of physical, educational, and psychosocial needs of persons with disabilities. · Demonstrate Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and team spirit · Be open minded and flexible · The ability to lift 50 pounds is a must
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: · Teach 30 minute private and 1 hour group therapeutic lessons to include both mounted and non-mounted skills · Teach traditional mounted and non-mounted programs to participants of all ages · Teach and enforce safety procedures · Maintain a riding schedule to assist with horse schooling · Maintain accurate and current program documentation as directed.
Term of Employment: · 9 consecutive months, AAE/EOE · 2-3 week days and Saturdays · Staff members may only work for 9 months and then must be off the payroll for 3 consecutive months before being eligible to return for another 9 months. Sorry, no way to work around this.
Animal Attendant

Starting Salary: $7.50 an hour
Shifts: · 3-4 weekday afternoons approximately 2:00-8:00 pm (start time can be adjusted to accommodate those in school but cannot be later than 3:30 pm.) · Must be flexible and able to work at least one weekend day (usually 8am-4pm) per week and some holidays as needed · Approximately 20 hours per week
Applicants must be: · 16 years or older · Comfortable handling horses · Energetic, professional, hard working, reliable and flexible
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: · Feeding and care of horses · Turnout · Mucking stall and cleaning the barn · Assisting with lessons as needed · Assisting volunteers with grooming and tacking as needed
Term of Employment: · 9 consecutive months - Staff members may only work for 9 months and then must be off the payroll for 3 consecutive months. Staff are eligible to after the 3 months as long as job performance is good.
